GUI

Not a whole lot has changed in the badder adder GUI. Some basic nav buttons have been added, which is cool. An accounts drop down has been added which houses the accounts management, chaining, and statistic information. Everything is laid out in a clean nav bar on the left hand side. Nothing i can compain about here. And michelle is lucky that blue is my favorite color.

Ease of use

This is a bit of a step up from 1.4 or 1.6 or whichever version you may have. There are simply more options / more functionality. The event intives look and sound awesome, it’d be great for bands. If it worked that is. As of right now using the event invites gives a code error. This is the kind of thing that’d be taken care of…oh…i dunno, before a major release. As for everything else, its really easy to navigate and get what you need done. The chaining is a really cool feature that i will talk about later, though it does complicate things a bit.

Support Desk

Support is handled by a NEW php ticket system. Nothing new here on this front. There’s also an online chat support. Uptime of the chat system is spotty, but useful should you catch it. According to michelle, badder adder owner, she has also hired support staff to respond to inquiries. Recently their response has been much better than say the past few months. Let’s hope it continues. Getting tech support on these programs is pretty much do it yourself. It’s like trying to get ahold of your cellphone company. Get used to it.

Extra Features

I’ll get right to what you are reading this for, Chaining. Chaining is the process of sending messages/adds/bulletins with one account, and when the program hits your maximum, it moves to the next username in the list. Yes its a killer function, and yes it works properly. I have heard of this option in other programs that wouldnt let me review their programs for whatever reason. Upon using it, yea, it will be pretty cool and even allow me to spend less time on myspace. Which, i dont know about you, but for me, thats awesome. In order to perform chaining, you enter in your message/bulletin, you have to select the accounts you want to send from everytime, which after a week, gets annoying. Then you let it do its thing. Pretty cool.

*note: if you hit your max on one account…the myspace max, it will NOT continue with the next account.*

A few things that are pretty standard but STILL arent in here is the usage of google, and sending comments / messages when accepting friend requests. These are pretty essential things as its not about the quantity of the leads, its absolutely about the quality. “The amount of friends you have on myspace is inproportionate to the amount of people who actually give a shit about you.” edited that a little, read it somewhere, cant remember.

Speed

Average Adds per minute over multiple sessions : 21
Average Messages per minute over multiple sessions : 20

CAPTcHA bypass, yada yada, the same routine here. Speed has not been improved, this is using the standard cable speed in my area of ~10mbps. But with chaining, i dont think that it really matters, as you can just let it do its own thing.

Overall Rating

The feature of chaining has prompted the 2.0 release of badder adder. While still not perfect, the bot provides new features at a very reasonable price…oh who am i kidding. all it has over v1.6 is chaining. Is chaining worth it? Yes. Yes it is. If i had never tried all the bots under the sun…this bot would be in my top 2. If badder adder added google integration and comment messages/comments i would whore them out like no other. KEEP IT GOIN BA!

I just dropped $47 and the website won’t activate it. Bravo. There’s been no response to my email all day, and no one is online with any of the messenger SNs. Activation is a dumb f’ckin idea. Anyone have a crack for this?

whoa dude. relax. no, i havent found a crack for this, and i have looked far and wide. Just give it the amount of time that they give you. i believe it is one buisness day. Along with that you should be able to use the demo. BA is a reputable company, you can be rest assured that they’ll activate your prog as soon as possible. take care man

The website states:

“Occasionally, a users’ security settings prevents us from pulling their order information into our database. If you feel this is the case, please submit a ticket to the Support Desk and we will activate your software manually. Be sure to include your Order ID, email address and product code.”

Once you’ve submitted said request, your ticket will be responed to within 1 business day.

Re: event invites - MySpace is having problems with the function, and the pages sometimes don’t load properly, which is what’s causing the Badder Adder error. It can’t find what it’s looking for on the page. It does work, but, as you’ve experienced, there are errors for some users occasionally.

Okay. Got it working. They initially gave me the wrong order# to activate it. Too many numbers at the end. Even then it wasn’t their support that resolved the issue. For some reason I received a 2nd copy of my receipt with a different order#.
Anyways… chaining isn’t THAT useful. A pretty weak attempt at automation. It’s about as useful as cruise control on a car. Make that cruise control that won’t go above 35mph. C’MON! Let’s go already! I got sh*t to get done!

And this is tied to one machine? ARGH! I installed it on my laptop. Am I going to have to wait a day again for activation if I buy another copy???

I ordered the bot yesterday (Sunday) and today (Monday) I have still yet to receive my order ID via email. I don’t know if it just didn’t go through, if there is a way to request it, or if I just have to wait a long time for the email to come through! Does anyone know what to do?

The badder adder events function does NOY work at 2.0. In fact, I don’t think it has ever worked. What is a real problem is that they blame myspace. However, other products work without a problem. Don’t look to have this fixed any time soon.

rob, it does work. It does NOT work with doing event invites using a certain area code as this feature has been removed from myspace.

badder adder does not work at all for me now. i’ve been sending support tickets for the past two weeks and recieved no response. at first functions were dropping off but i was still able to use it now www.badderadder.com is down and i cant even open my badder adder program it fails to register me everytime!!

rage, i actually got an error last night saying that my program wasnt registered…then i forced BA to quit and opened it again. came right up. first i’ve ever seen of it. badderadder.com is up. dont know if it had some downtime earlier…but its up now. try your program again. if it doesnt work you will need to work with badderadder to get it resolved. They are respectable people, they will take care of you. Thanks for venting.

I have purchased a copy of the software yesterday, and now the problem is that it does not start at all on my Win 2000 Professional, not even the demo. The installation seems to be o.k., but when I click on the icon to start the programm it just tells me “failed to retrieve your registration status - please make sure your computer is connected to the internet”. The computer is connected to the internet and I have set all permissions for ZoneAlarm to allow the software to connect. And I can’t retrieve the software without the product code of the demo….

I’ve got the same message. It will open for me and show the myspace screen but in 10 secs it will give me an error message and automatically shut down. Which kinda sucks since I just paid $47 on the thing. Am I doing something wrong?

I read the site of www.myspaceprofilemanager.com, a hosted alternative. They claim that circumventing CAPthCa was not possible so they limited it to 50 requests per account. They also had a timer for your bulletins in local time (this to prevent ppl get an email at 5 am when they won’t read it and which is at the bottom of the list by 9am when they would read it.. for example).

Any comparison testing ? They ARE hell expensive 10 $ per account.

Is there a site which tells about best practices ? How much is too much in terms of number of friends.. so when is it wise to set up a parallel account.. things like that what works/doesn’t work on myspace.

They obviously dont know how to do it. Every one of these programs can get by captcha for adds, it is NOT possible to get around the captcha for comments. Most adders have timed bulletins. That doesnt make sense for bulletins to send them out at someones local time, as bulletins go to all your friends at once. You’d be sending out TONS of bulletins. I have not reviewed myspaceprofilemanager, i will send them an email and see if they will allow me to do such.

As far as best practices, yea, ive got a bunch of articles around on this site…there is no such thing as too many friends…parallell accounts? i guess…there is no need and really no way to have 2 of the same accounts with the same friends. Read through my site and hopefully you’ll get a better understanding. Thanks for the comment!

I think you steered me in the right direction, thanks for the site.

After reading reviews, I decided to go with B.A. for whatever reason, although S. S. was a serious consideration.
I guess its the chaining that clinched it for me as well. Since only yesterday, writing sincere msgs with the add reqs to groups I belonged to, I have sold 3 copies of my novel, paying for Badder in about 12 hours - overnight in fact.

Thanks again for the reviews, I might end up owning them all at some point.

Badder adder has terrible support, and lots of functions don’t work. I purchased it, but in the end also bought Space Station. It’s a much better product, when you have support problems, you deal with the developer who fixes bugs quickly. With BA, you spend weeks to get them to admit they have a problem, and then weeks later to fix it, if ever!

I bought Badder Adder. Had some issues with it. Eventually they got resolved/answered. Except for the speed. Jeezus is this thing SLOW. But I figured it would still overall save me time with the chaining. Almost. So I tried space station. A little better. But then the next day myspace changed their captcha, and no one had a fix, so I got a refund for space station. Too late to get a refund for badder adder, but luckily they found a fix and put it in v2.2. I think they also added a hidden feature in v.2.2 that made it add friends slower than ever before. Sweet. And I verified the issue with speed is only experienced in BA. Not in my browser. Not in other adders. Sometimes it will just fall asleep on the Add Friend page. I’ve let it sit there for 10 minutes to see if it will move. Nope. Gotta click the Add button myself. Then the next friend it might add itself, but the one after that, nope. I submitted a ticket, but I haven’t gotten an email confirmation for it, so I might have to submit it again. Somebody wake me up when Adder Robot adds a chaining-feature.

Got a reply from BA support. They were WAAYYY off. Like they didn’t even read my ticket. I replied to tell them none of their suggestions were logical, and i re-described the issue. Several days have passed, no second reply.

Everyone as figured out the captcha issue, so I re-purchased space station. 20x faster now, at least. I recommend everyone get space station instead. The folks at badder adder are inept and indiferent.

Works fine for me, make sure you go up to account > manage accounts > login. you have to login to myspace through BA that way. add your account if you havent already and then hit login.

jeynuss, maybe try not being an asshole to BA support? captcha on v2.2 works for friend adding. again…captcha bypass doesnt work on comments. i do believe space station is superior, but its not nearly as ridiculious as you make it out to be.

BADDERADDER IS HORRIBLE. I asked for my refund (over a week now) and Michelle still has not gave me back my refund or replied to my emails.. what a fraudulent claim “refund guaranteed within 30 days”… i haven’t gone as far as others who are compiling suits against her.. but, she better respond soon

I was polite and concise to BA support (still haven’t heard back from them). I wasn’t talking about the comments captcha. And I could be the only person getting 2 friend adds per minute - I can only speak for myself. But if I have a problem and have gone through all the normal troubleshooting steps (5 years experience as pc/network tech) and the tech support makes no effort to resolve the issue, then yes, it is as ridiculous as I make it out to be.

Kathy, I too asked for a refund after a week, and was told I’d get it. Never did. I gave up and decided to continue to try to use it. That was back in the middle of August.

Badder Adder is good, it does what it says, nothing less. For those that just bought it: BA support will activate your BA, just send them a message. I was aggravated myself by this too. Recently Myspace has upgraded it’s captcha and I know my Badder Adder hasn’t been able to bypass them yet. Any word on a program that can bypass captcha or when Badder Adder will be able to?

I bought BadderAdder 2 weeks ago. It’s horrible and basically unless until the Capcha issue ever gets fixed. BA has no support and I too asked for a refund and gotten no responses. I will have file a complaint and also call my bank and reverse the charges.

STILL NO REFUND from badder adder. I asked for it back in August. They’re ignoring all of my emails and i’ve been polite, never once beligerent. Do not buy this product. It is inferior to Space Station in every way. The tech support (when I was getting responses) was incompetent. The space station support is prompt and always helpful. Badder Adder has ripped me off.

Heck, when I first tried space station, I didn’t like it, and asked for a refund, which I received within 1 business day. That’s integrity, something badder adder has never had.

I paid for the program from badderadder.com and they Never EMAILED ME THE ID CODE. I check my bank account and the moneys been taken and I dont even have an ID CODE to access the program. I opened over ten tickets that were all closed stating that my ID CODE was sent to my email address. To date, I have not received an email from BadderAdder. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I see this problem is quite common and not being resolved. I contacted my bank and was informed that I could contest the charge stating that I did not receive the product that was ordered and would more than likely get my money back. Try other alternatives, and not just waiting on Michelle to give you a refund?

I’m fairly new to badderadder, but from my experience and what I’ve heard from others, they’re very slow about doing updates to the program. Are the Space Station folks much faster at fixes?

im having same troubles badderadder and spacestation, both great programs, the latest updated fixed the login problem for a couple days now its down again… seems like myspace is changing things around more often now to effect the login process? so i dont know if can blame the bots, but an email to let us know would b nice. they do reply when i log a issue but if theirs a known prob some newletter or something would be helpful. awaiting some solution now. peace dd

just reading the problems other people are having, i never experienced this trouble ive been using the program a long time… 1 time i did have a problem with a different bot freezing, i uninstaled flash and quicktime, and reinstaled them, microsoft framework updates could be an issue possibly, so i think sometimes the problem can be with the computer your on, but this latest login problem seems to be something myspace are doing… hopefuly the bots can work it out, with regard to them not getting back to you, it may be their email system is full of spam, or from people writing with the latest login problems, maybe they are just small team and cant handle it all, duno but hope u guys can get something resolved. peace dd

Hey, This Badder Adder does not work…. it never logs in so is useless…. I have wasted to much money (& time on this) & haven’t gotten any help fromm the site either.

ok, here’s what I did to get it logging in - it’s gonna have to be a manual approach I’m afraid ’till Badder can be arsed fixing their code.

The browser is IE based, so I went into internet options and reset everything in IE back to it’s default. Then in Badder Adder, you have to choose the account to login with (so that it knows which account it’s dealing with) it will try to login unsuccesfully. Once it starts to login, press stop on the badder browser at the login screen and type your user name and password yourself. Click the login button. It will muck around for a bit but finally login, then badder will pop a box up saying “logged in successfully!” - thinking it did it itself. This will at least get you logged in on the right account within Badder for now.

I agree with the other posters here about customer service importance. I get spam emails from Michelle everyday enticing me to click links to her affiliates to purchase marketing e-books etc. with no delays at all. But nothing regarding myspace code changes and known bugs in her software. Just a quick email letting us know the score isn’t too much to ask!

One more question to experienced badder users here - if I load up a list of ID’s and send them friend requests and comments, will it comment the users that were on a previous list I’ve already commented and friend requested using the same account in badder? or does it know to skip the ones that it already commented even though the new ID’s are in a new list?

hey man i chose the reset option in ie7 loaded badder adder and it loged in sucefuly first time, no need to manualy enter my details… wondering if some explorer updates maybe effected something, or some popup blocking or feature etc is effecting the bots somehow? anyways seems to be working after the explorer reset…

I am not happy with badder adder at all right now. I purchased this program because supposedly I would be able to use it immediately after making my purchase…..Only problem is the fact that I didn’t recieve my order id email…..so now I just spent $47 on a product I can’t even use. And the live support help is a total joke. You go to get the live help and it tells you that there are 195 support tickets in line ahead of you and that the wait time will be almost 2 hours…..So I submitted several help tickets and didn’t recieve a response. I personally just really don’t enjoy spending my money on things that I’m unable to use……If I don’t get an email response from them today then I will just have my bank reverse the charges, I won’t even mess around with trying to get a response because when I had problems with not recieving my order id, I did this web search on badder adder support which brought me to this site here and obviously this is not an isolated problem or rare occasion that this happens. According to everything I’ve been seeing online, I’ve made a mistake in purchasing badder adder. That sucks.

Badder Adder does not bypass captcha, dont buy it unless you want to sit at your computer inputting validation codes.
