Spyder - Killer myspace app for your mac.
Stumbled upon a pretty sweet app the other day while perusing digg. It’s called spyder and yes, its only for macs. I have emailed them a bunch of times and never heard a response so i’m not going to do a complete review. Spyder is a “friend manager” with a little adding/messaging capability built in. It displays your friends graphically and essentially looks just like itunes 6. These friend managers are rather new to the scene and i’ve been waiting for a decent one to hit. The manager seperates everyone by location and makes it REALLY easy to keep in touch with people. GREAT for bands. Great because if you’re in a band, you know that almost no one looks at their event invites.
There is an adding function, but as spyder hasnt returned my emails to do a full scale review, i havent been able to use the full version. The manager is reason enough to use the program though. And that portion of it is free…along with sending messages. It does take a while , depending on how many friends you have, to gather all the information. On an account with 1.3k friends it takes about 15 mins to pull up everyones graphics and information. A great feature of this is that it autosaves all that info. So when you open the program back up you have everything right there.
Let me know what you guys think…
