The definitive guide to using myspace automation programs.

So you have a product you would like to promote and you think that myspace would be a great way to get the word out. You sir, are very right. Myspace is a huge gathering of impressionable youths and young adults that are eager to meet new people, discover new music, and keep in touch. You know all this already though don’t you?

You should.

You may have seen the advertisements that say “make 1,000’s of myspace friends in less than a day!”. You may have seen myspace profiles with 5439563 friends. Maybe you’re into dudes. Maybe you’re not. In any case, what you are looking for is an easier way to get yourself out to the masses. Automation is a fantastic development that saves you effort and most importantly, time. So you can polish your drums and write that new track in garageband. I’m here to help.

Basic Terminology:

Friend ID - Each profile has a unique number that is used to identify that particular users profile.
SN - Social Network ie: Myspace(tm), Facebook(tm), etc.
Adder - Program that automates standard functions of a social network.
Train - A website that allows you to directly add friends to your profile without going through the usual procedures.
CAPTCHA - a security method that is currently successful in telling computers from humans. Official Project Website
Chaining - The process of continuing the adding/messaging process when one account hits a maximum by automatically logging into another account.

Not the most exciting material right there, but things you want to know. Here is the run down on how all automation programs work.

After you get a program, you will download it onto your computer, run through a simple install procedure and open up the program. You will notice more often than not you are bombarded with options. Each program has different methods and options, but the process is the same.

Adding

After logging in to your account you will be able to gather ID’s. This usually means that you go to the browse page and select what kind of people you want to add. (Age, Location, etc) Once you’ve got your preferences set, you can hit the extract button and the program will begin extracting the ID’s of the people that are on the page. Pretty cool eh? Once you’ve got the amount of friends you want to add, or when the adder says it’s finished, you can hit the start button. You’ll see the program begin it’s work. It will go to the “do you really want to add?” page and keep going. You dont have to worry about the captcha code, as almost all programs can bypass this. You usually have an option to message each user you’re adding, more about that next. The only downside to adding people is that they must approve you. Once they approve you, you may not be able to contact them easily if you have a lot of friends.

Messaging

The process is very similar to adding. You extract the number of friend ID’s you need and fill out your message. You can always include html in here and flash. I will say this right now.

Messaging is the number one reason your account will get blacklisted.

Don’t forget that.

A great idea for generating MASSIVE incoming friend requests from messages can be found here.

Commenting

Guess what? Same deal here. Gather the ID’s you want to comment and begin. You cannot comment people that are not your friends. Be aware that some people do not accept html comments. Most of the top adders on my site have the option to automatically detect this and provide the option for a non-html comment. After 50 comments you will hit the CAPTCHA. There is no way around this one ladies and gentlemen. You must enter in the code. Many programs also offer the option to use “&NAME&” or some variation to insert the persons name into your comment.

Accepting Incoming Friend Requests

When someone adds you to their profile, it’s a fantastic opportinuty to leave a comment and put a graphic or linkback to your site. Please stray from the basic “thanks for the add” comment. Say something interesting. Some programs also allow you to send messages. It’s really up to you. I’ve proven that comments are more effective though.

Bulletins

Bulletins are essentially messages that are sent out to all your friends at once. As you could imagne, there are many people who dont read their bulletins very often. When sending out a bulletin, you can do basically everything you can do in a message. Html and flash are fair game. Most programs allow you to specify a time period in which to delay your bulletins. ie. once an hour, once every 30 mins, once a day.

Event Invites

About as many people look at their event invites as read their bulletins, but if you’re a band or have some sort of event to promote, this will be great for you. Most programs allow you to automatically sent event invites to a geographical group of people. Very useful, but very flakey. 80% of the time these wont work properly on ANY program. I believe it has to do with the social network.

FAQ

“These programs tell me i can get 1,000’s of friends a day…is this practical? can these really do this for me?

My response to this is maybe. This is not a practical estimate of what these programs can do for you. Even when using multiple accounts and multiple machines, the most adds i have ever seen to an account hovers around 500 adds in a 24hr period. Thats what you can expect if you spend a good couple of hours adding from multiple machines. Don’t forget, this whole process is entirely dependant on your myspace and its content. Targeting a specific age range can help, but your result is only as good as the messages you’re sending. People arent all sheep, and many wont just add you without checking out your account first.

“Whats the fastest way? I want the maximum number of adds i can get.”

See here for my guide to getting MAD myspace adds.

There are currently limitations to some SN’s that restrict the number of messages/adds/comments you can make per account.

Myspace(tm)

350 credits per 24hr period.
A friend request, message, comment all count as 1 credit. Use them sparingly. ;)

Tagworld(tm)
500 requests / messages in a 24hr period.

“Are using these programs considered against the policy of my SN?”

Usually. They are generally seen as generating unnessecary traffic from the SNS’s point of view. Hence the limits and restrictions. They CAN get your profile deleted if your SNS recieves spam reports from users you are mailing to. BE CAREFUL. DONT BE DUMB. careful…not dumb.

“How do these programs get around the CAPTCHA on sites like myspace(tm)?”

Most of the programs are currently using a workaround that requires the program to send a blank mail message to a dummy account. I am not a programmer, this is just what im told and what i have found.

“All the sites i go to say they are the number 1 rated adder…who’s really number 1?”

Thats why i made this site, because some are better than others, and everyone can claim that because there is no one thats reviewing them.

“Can i run more than one adder simultaniously?”

Yes, usually, you can run different adding programs simultaniously.

“Can using an adding program get my account deleted, and how?”

Yes, using these programs are against the terms and conditions of your social network. Although, they do not allow you to do anything that you couldnt do just by visiting the site. It has been a very long time since i have seen an account get deleted. What is more likely to happen is that you will one day realize that all the messages and friend requests that you are sending out do not make it to their intended receipients.
