GUI

Ah finally, a new exciting bot to review! The Interface for this is very basic, its the standard vb inspired productivity focused program that we’ve all come to know and love. (See screen shots above) Tabs switch between the main functions in the program. One thing i like about this adder, you may not like it, but there’s no web page. No having to look at peoples dreadful backgrounds or tally how many people have “Sexyback” as their profile music while adding. I swear to god.

Ease of use

Learning curve on this bad boy is about 5 minutes. It’s mega easy.

Support Desk

All support is currently handled very well by a email form and a basic FAQ. The only requirements for this bot is that you are running it in some form of windows (wine / parallels / bootcamp) and that you have the latest .net updates from microsoft. I really wish there was a forum so that they could start to build more of a community around this software. Look at what eek! did.

Extra Features

Lets break this down, since this is a fairly new SNS to the automation community.

Friend Requests - 4 options for adding.

1) You can scrape ID’s from an external pages by entering in the url.
2) From a User ID
3) From a Group ID
4) By the built in search query

The search function is somewhat rudimentary, but still allows for gender, age and zipcode. So yes, it is useful.

Automatic accepting of friends / 5’s

I believe it was Jerry Seinfeld who said “Slapping hands is the lowest form of male primate ritual. In fact, even some of them have moved on - they’re using sign language now.” Nevertheless, use this function to slap everyone at once and wonder why you’re on hi5.com and who came up with that name.

Since this is new, there’s a pretty decent amount of adds you can do right now. My advice would be DONT go over 1000 ads per day.

Speed

Average Adds per minute over multiple sessions : 22 adds per minute

Awesome. Works for me, i dont really have anything to compare it to.

Overall Rating

For being the first adder in the area, this pretty much hit it on the head. Hi5.com is different than myspace, but as myspace inboxes fill up with spam, it’s people are looking elsewhere. The adder works great, it does everything it’s supposed to. I would completely recommend it and look forward to future developments in hi5robot’s future.
