The problem with Friend Adder cracks.

Oh yea, they’re out there if you’re wondering.

I always see lots of hits to my site looking for cracks, so here’s what i did. A few weeks ago i began downloading all the cracked friend adder software i could from sites like Pirate Bay, Demonoid, TorrentSpy and the like, Limewire, IRC, and a few straight http downloads. Stats are below.

Out of the 32 adder programs i found. (Some were duplicates)

28 of them just plain didnt work.
12 of them contained some form of trojan/virus/spyware.
24 were outdated versions.
2 crashed my computer upon install.
4 did work, they frequently crashed or required changes to my computer that messed with date/time settings.

I’m not adverse to using modified software. But with stats like these…what the hell is the point? One reason you pay for software from people is to get the updates. Myspace updates frequently, and the programs must update as well. Sure you could search and wait for a new crack, but why? What the programs are going to do for you will be COMPLETELY worth the money you pay. You can even affiliate with most of them and make your money back in a few days anyways.
