Yep. Easy money on myspace won’t be so easy anymore. The main bot programmers have gotten c+d orders, stop or face legal action. In one case I know of, they also demanded a % of the profits made by the programmer…..and it’s customer list.

I beleive myspace is making the first of 2 large steps. Right now they are making a mental impact on spammers themselves, while placing fear into the bot programmers.

I think that step is about finished. Then, they will make sudden changes to many sections of their website to block pretty much all functions of any bot.

I give it 3 days before someone has a new bot to work around the changes, but I seriously doubt if it will be publically available. Of Those new programmers, some of them will advertise it right off the bat…..and will most likely be shut down pretty quickly. Some may sell it through forums and keep it on the low down. While some will just share it with close friends.

Either way, they’re going to have to put a lot of time and effort into making any fast money. Profile Generators’ profiles get deleted really fast, comment chainers get your url blocked and you’re constantly looking for redirect, even adding friends too quickly will get the profile deleted.

I think comments were opened to unlimited for a reason. Collecting Data on the users. What’s average for the normal, authentic user?

Spam on myspace will never stop completely. But people will have to work a lot harder to make any real money again. I’m personally pursueing other interests, it’s just not worth it anymore.

If mspace did shut down these guys, It would begreat if(SpaceStation) would make the code open source. I’m sure there are some out there who could tweak the progam as needed on their own. Or one could have other programmers tweak it when needed.

I was using Space Station, I recieved the orders yesterday at around 4PM from tos@myspaceemail.com…They emailed it to my seperate e-mail account that I only used for those kinds of purposes, the only person who had my name and the e-mail address was Space Station.

no they didnt delete me…they didnt do anything, i just recieved this e-mail and thats it…the thing that bothers me is the whole XXX@myspaceemail.com. wouldnt it be from XXX@Myspace.com if it was in fact Myspace Abuse Team

The guys at space station could have at least removed the requirement for their website to be online for the software to work… I could live without the updates, but now I feel like I just got robbed and the software is useless because their “lisense” checker doesn’t work anymore.

Same here, I dont know which to use now. Had just paid for FriendBlasterPro 6.0, which was bypassing all captcha’s and I thought I had it sorted.

I’m very new to this and am gutted that it seems i got into it right at the end. I’d have only needed a week or so to get all of the adds I would ever need. Pah!

Any ideas of which bot to try next?

I am with you all, unlike some on here who were trying to make a quick buck i was using the bots as a way of automating some benign things such as sending event invitations and adding friend requests with a comment. Does anyone know of programs which continue to do this at the moment.

Hey guys, I’m a recording artist and was using space station mainly to add friends and send happy birthday comments. I always played it safe and kept my total correspondences under 350/day. Odd thing is my account didn’t reset for about a week and eventually i could not send any more messages/add friends but could still send comments until space station crashed. So my account is not flagged entirely. Any advice on what to do or who to contact to get my account reset? thanks

don’t worry guys. i know it sucks now not knowing what is going to happen with all the bots being put out of business, or most of them anyway. my space will be making numerous sudden changes. after those changes have been made, i promise you there will be at least one bot being sold, so smile. its just too bad that our own government can’t defend against big business bullies. also, i have a feeling that the few bot programs that remain will give a heavy discount to all space station, badder adder, and adder robot clients to ease the pain. there are solutions in progress. but im sick of all this regulation and big brother activity myself.

hmmm….My SpaceStation 2.8.7 works fine without a problem for some reason…excapt for the fact that i do have to click LOGIN button manually when loggin in….I really don’t send out comments or messages but I just posted some bulletins and it works just fine…I also have Friendster 5.8 which works good so I dont know whats goin on

Myspace: the space behind me where poo comes out of.

They probably banned the usage of bots because of the amount of Dickheads using it for porn, special offers and other commercial shit , thats not so interesting. Solo Artists, bands, film makers and creative people (who the site was origanlly was designed for) only made revenue for the site when people clicked onto their profile, adverts were viewed, this increased revenue for “The FAT Basterd Cat” Rupert Murdoch. When comments and messages started pointing to outside sites, thats when the fat cat choaked on his caviar.

I think the majority of Adderbot users were artists of some sort as this was the easiest way of promoting what we do with little or borrowed money.

Its a few bad apples that ruin the bunch.

Also I think that problem was also that the creators of adder bots, probably got a bit greedy after seeing that it works with artists they thought lets capitalise. Which evetually led them to piss on their feet and eventually piss off the ever smiling Tom.

However I’m sure that people like Tila Tequila (what ever that creature is behind make-up and soft focus) will have myspacerecords/interscope use an adder of sort. Its for their own profit. Well they need to protect their wallets as the indie artist revelution was starting and the BIG FAT CATS would’nt want to share the profit, otherwise there wouldnt be so much poverty in the world would there.

I’m using the adder from eek records, and it’s still fine. The problem with theirs, though, is that it only supports one account at a time - to run multiples, you need to buy more licenses. I’m not doing that because last time I had a support request in with them, it took them a literal 5 weeks to respond. As stated above, I think the adder market is toast unless myspace is planning on releasing their own version for big bucks, which might make sense.

I have mixed emotions about the robots going down. I like that have been able to send out add requests for my website, but I really hate all those stupid cell phone things.

I use Badder Adder and it was heavily marketed as a way to make money online.

I think MySpace already has a way for big business to get adds. I got an add for Fallout Boys as they were being advertised on MySpace.
Why would they send me a friend request?
They have over a million friends!
Do you think someone sits there and does the adds and sends requests?
I certainly don’t.
My Space is trying to turn this into a place for the people that can pay. Advertising starts at $3000 for a band. The rest of us are just going to get screwed.

I wonder if it is possible for some of the smaller bands can sue them for unfair marketing practices.

just want to ask 2 things…

1. are the bot client databse lists private information or can myspace demand/aquire them via court order or and then know who has used them… as the terms prohibit any automomation of the sites features…

2. would the bot client database be evidence for myspace to delete you anyay, as purchasing the bot is not illegal just using it is and they would need evidence of the bot automation on your page, logging in would not be against any terms its just an alternate browser, i guess it would depend on what sort of information these bot send back to their makers… such as ’superbot’ sent 50requests date/acount/ etc. if myspace were to aquire / control a bot they could collect proof of automation possibly. If myspace were to aqure one of these bots, they could then aquire this information, but legaly they could not control something that is against their own terms they would have to delete their own webpage lol. i dont think they can use any of this information anyways… unless they have a dummy company controling the bot… have it collect the information they need and then aquire that information, however i dont think they can do that sort of thing as an investigation could hurt them if it was ever found out they were connected to the original company for the reason mentioned above… anyways thats something to think bout

3. 1 last thing… did anyone else have their cc card details used to pay for a hotel in singapore 1 month after purchasing a certain bot i wont name any names as any number of possible places could be responsible from a takeaway shop to a computer online store, i just wanted to enquire here as 1 bot that i payed for has a dubious cc payment page secured thru a company i had not heard of before. the first time the payment page failed and after emailing the suport page and trying a 2nd attempt i was told they got my cc card number and it al worked ok… but most secure sites the cc card is not reveleaed to the merchant… anyways if other people had this issue let me know

This whole bloody space station thing has been doing my head in! I only purchased the programme to send comments when accepting friend request, and send event invite. If Myspace had a site that worked effectively (i.e. being able to send event invites according to location for example) then I never would have needed. Now I’ve paid money for a programme that I’ve only had a few months of use from!!

If Myspace want to sort out the fucking spamming maybe they should stop the “see who’s spying on your myspace account” comments and porn shit from being plastered all over my fucking page.

I did try the suggestion from The Mighty One for Space station though and it worked. Question is….for how long?

Believe it or not, I was upgrading some of my profiles on MySpace last night, when a google banner ad across the top of one of my pages (meaning I didn’t do it) read “Friend Bot.” I went to their page (www.friendbot.com), and there was a full site for purchase. Now, how do they rank to be able to actually advertise an “illegal bot” on MySpace?!! This bot does everything all the others claim to do. Did they get a cease and decist order? Makes you wonder!!

friendbot.com is not for sale… what are you talking about mario? just because a banner ad was on myspace doesnt mean it was them…i think it was affiliates probably promoting the bot on myspace, which is actually the only real leg myspace has to stand on with the cease and desist orders… as long as the bot developers don’t promote on myspace, they can’t be touched, if however, myspace users are caught violating the TOS by using an automated script, you will be deleted. The courts ruled in another case a while ago that it is the end user that is responsible for the use of a software, not the developer of the program. So make sure if you are still using a bot to use a proxy while surfing myspace, and that your particular bot runs in “stealth mode” always!

mightyone, just go to any proxy directory/list/top site, the big one being proxy.org, and alternate the proxies you use. a web-based proxy simply allows you to surf the internet under the IP address of the proxy site instead of your own, making your internet activity anonymous, as long as that proxy doesn’t keep logs stored. also, i wouldn’t use any bot that isn’t made with stealth in mind, not worth losing your account or anything else that might happen. hope this helps, let me know if i didn’t answer your question i will try to be more specific.

oh and mighty one i was referring to using a proxy whenever you are using myspace in general.. if you have multiple accounts. but if you were using a bot that did not already have a proxy built into the browser, which most do, then i would imagine you could still go to a proxy site in the software browser bar and use the proxy still that way. i’m not quite sure though. sorry.
